About this service
Our radiologists perform a range of image-guided interventional procedures — therapeutic injections, biopsies, aspirations and drainages — using ultrasound or CT guidance for accuracy and safety.
What to expect
The radiologist explains the procedure and obtains your consent. Skin is cleaned and local anaesthetic is given. The procedure is performed under live imaging guidance. Most injections take 15–30 minutes including recovery.
Tell us if you take blood thinners, are pregnant or have known allergies. Specific preparation depends on the procedure — our team will brief you when booking.
Results and reports
A sub-specialised radiologist will read your scan and send a comprehensive report directly to your referring GP or specialist the next business day. Your referrer will discuss the results with you at your follow-up appointment.
Bulk billing
Most interventional procedures examinations are bulk-billed for eligible patients. Our team will confirm any out-of-pocket costs when you book.
